boasting the worlds largest laurel forest.

the forests do get dry from the hot weather and madeira suffers from forest fires occasionally.

then occasionally we have the odd flood.

it really is an island of fire and water.

it always bounces back to an island full of culture, folklore and traditions and most of all its always full of great food!
